Overview

Located in the heart of Paris’s vibrant Marais district, Chez Alain Miam Miam is a sandwich shop that has earned a cherished reputation among locals and visitors alike. Nestled at 26 Rue Charlot, this cozy spot captures the essence of French deli culture with a focus on hearty, flavorful sandwiches and traditional crepes.

The main attraction lies in their well-crafted sandwiches and crepes, particularly the Ham and Cheese Crepe and the Miam-miam Pastrami Comté, which combine quality ingredients with generous portions. Each item offers a harmony of textures—soft, melted cheese and savory meats complemented by crisp fresh vegetables. The sandwiches are often toasted to achieve a satisfying, panini-like crust, enhancing the overall experience.

Beyond sandwiches, the menu branches into fresh salads, savory galettes, and unique specialties such as Socca and vegetarian selections. The beverage offerings, from traditional French beers to refreshing mineral waters and Rosé wines, provide thoughtful pairings to the hearty fare. This commitment to variety and quality reflects a genuine respect for simple yet honest food crafted with care.

The atmosphere is intimate and unpretentious, making it an inviting stop for early risers, office workers, and tourists seeking an authentic Parisian bite. Regular patrons praise the friendly and lively service, often mentioning the owner’s warm and humorous presence, which adds a personal touch to the dining experience.

While the shop can attract busy crowds, especially during peak meal times, visiting early helps avoid lines and ensures a relaxed meal. The nearby park offers a pleasant space to enjoy your order al fresco, enhancing the casual charm of this hidden gem.

Though some may find the portion sizes rich and pricing modestly high, most agree that the quality and flavor justify the experience. For those drawn to indulgent, cheese-forward sandwiches and the authentic Parisian delicatessen vibe, Chez Alain Miam Miam proves an essential pilgrimage.

In summary, this Parisian sandwich shop merges tradition and flavor with a friendly ambiance. It’s a must-try destination for anyone who values hearty, honest food served with a smile in an iconic neighborhood setting.

One of the best sandwiches we had in Paris! I really appreciated the addition of fresh vegetables and the fact that it was toasted — it gave it a panini-like quality that set it apart. We went early in the morning and avoided any lines or crowds, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth it!

Chez Alain Miam Miam....what is there not to like. This place is always busy. Why? Because the sandwiches are absolutely the best in Paris! Alain has made sure that his staff keep to his happy, honest food, and funny outlook. I have never ever had a bad experience in over 6 years of eating there. Everything is yummy, and there is a nice park nearby to enjoy your meal. I very very highly recommend this place as this is a hidden gem in Paris. Thank you Alain for such a great dining experience always!

A must try if you enjoy sandwich and cheese Portion is big, I split one with my mom. My only recommendation is to come early to try the yumminess without waiting in line! We got there around 9:45am on a Wednesday and was first in line to be served. Met and talked with the owner - very pleasant and funny guy! Thank you for the great experience, keep up the good work!

Tried this sandwich spot and it definitely doesn’t hold back on the cheese – super generous and indulgent. The sandwich itself is tasty and filling, though at €15 it’s on the pricey side. Worth trying at least once if you’re in the mood for a rich, cheesy treat.

The food it’s ok, not the best. I think you don’t have to overload the sandwiches. The service great! We had a wait of about 20 minutes to order the sandwiches and then we wait another 15 to have them ready.

Cute sandwich shop, there are three stations and ordering is smooth. I got the spicy chicken and my partner got a ham sandwich. They guided us on what cheese to use. The bread was absolutely fantastic. We only ate a half of sandwich each and could’ve split one if we had realized they were so big. Definitely would recommend eating here in Paris.
